    Notes
    • Surname Variation: Upon immigration the boys were teased for their surname which encouraged some of them to change their names. Hitchcock, Hedgecock and Hedgecoe were all used by the children of Martha Jones and John Thomas Hitckcock.
    • Immigration: John Thomas Hitchcock and son Alec arrived 18 Aug 1910 aboard the 'Corsican' departing from Liverpool, England and arriving in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The rest of the family crossed in 1911, with exception of daughter Charlotte Emma Hitchcock Rowlands and son Thomas Henry 'Harry' Hitchcock who remained in England.
The rest of the Hitchcock family came aboard the ship 'The Royal Edward' departing from Avonmouth, England and arriving in Quebec, Canada on 10 May 1911. Included in the family were Martha Jones Hitchcock and her children Annie Elizabeth, James Frederick Bart, Hannah May, Ethel Maud, Ernest Arthur, Edward Benjamin, and Martha Beatrice.
    • Research collaboration with our thanks and appreciation to Ray Pleau, who was a dedicated genealogist that began researching the Hedgecoe - Hitchcock family and helped us get our start on these Family Tree branches. May he rest in peace.
