Black and white scanned original Ordnance Map of Derrylea Beg and Derrylea More, Parish of Errigal Trough in the Union of Clogher in Monaghan County, Ireland. With highlighted colour for the lands of Michael Moynagh (Derrylea Beg #6) and Thomas McKenna (Derrylea More #6 a and b).
Griffiths Valuation of Ireland, page 144. Derrylea Beg and Derrylea More of the Parish of Errigal Trough in the Union of Clogher in Monaghan County. Listings for Michael Moynagh and Thomas McKenna.
Michael Moynagh renting land plot #6 of Derrylea Beg and the land is owned by Francis Kane. (Most likely Margaret's cousin as her brother Michael was a Reverend, not a Farmer.)
Thomas McKenna renting land #6 a and b of Derrylea More, the land touches boarders with Michael's own and is owned by Joseph Kane.
Note: It's possible that the 'Kane' landowners were somehow related to James O'Neill's wife Mary O'Kane. Thomas McKenna's son, Thomas McKenna married Bridget O'Neill, daughter of Mary O'Kane and James O'Neill.
1870 US Census for Bridget O'Neill and Thomas McKenna, listing their children Thomas E, Mary A and William J. Also listing Margaret and Thomas McKenna, (Parents of Thomas McKenna) and Emma J. O'Neill (Niece of Bridget O'Neill by her brother James O'Neill and his wife Sarah). As well as Richard Gihan who lived with the family and shared the same employment as the other men. Thomas, Thomas and Richard are listed with occupations as 'Plumber'.
