Family Thomas Mullin,   b. 1823, Ireland Find all individuals with events at this location,   d. 19 Jul 1890, Montreal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada Find all individuals with events at this location  (Age 67 years)
    Notes
    • Although Margaret and Thomas have no proven children of their own, in the 1861 Census they are guardians to E. O'Neill who is 16, born in 1845 and Henry O'Neill who is 7, born in 1854. A second census in 1871 states that Henry O'Neill is only 10, being born in 1861 in Quebec.

In 1861 there is a nearly illegible listing of 6 other individuals living within the Mullin household. The final two people appear to carry the 'McKenna' surname, possibly relatives of Margaret's sister Bridget O'Neill McKenna.

In 1871 a widowed woman named Amelia Martin of unknown relation, and her children Thomas, John, Margaret and Mary are in residence with the Mullin family.

It seems impossible that Thomas isn't related to the family of Hannah Campbell and Neil Peter Mullin, who's son Patrick married Margaret's sister, Alice O'Neill, but so far we haven't proven their connection.

    1861CanCen-MargaretONeill-ThomasMullin.jpg
1861 Canadian Census for Margaret O'Neill and Thomas Mullin. The record is poor quality, however it appears to account for Thomas Mullin, Mrs. Mullin (Margaret O'Neill) and two O'Neill boys, 'E O'Neill' who is 16, born in 1845 and Henry O'Neill who is 7, born in 1854 both in Quebec, Canada. These could Margaret's nephews, although we have yet to account for which family they belong to.
There are other names recorded, but they remain undignified.
